XBD series fire pump is the third generation of our company based on the performance parameter of international standard ISO2858 and JB/T6878.2-93, and "performance requirement and experimental method of fire pump" of GB6245-2006 issued newly by nation. It is an upgrated product of old type XBD with flow range of 1.5 to 1600m3/h and head range of 5 to 225m.

XBD series fire pumps are mainly used in the hydrant and automatic spray extinguishing systems etc. in the fixed fire fighting system in enterprises,institutions,project construction,high building etc,to deliver clean water and medium similar to water in physiochemical property,not containing solid grain and of temperature below 40°C.
>>> Product Working Conditions
1. Please inform us when placing an order if the working pressure of the pump system is larger than 2.5MPa.
2. Proper medium: liquids with chemical property similar to pure water should be non corrosive. Solid size should be no larger than 30% of the pump suction diameter. Fiber length should not be over 2.5 times of the pump suction diameter. When the medium density is more than 1.05, the motor power should be increased accordingly to prevent the motor from overload operation.
3. Surrounding ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C. Altituide should not exceed 1000m, Transferring medium temperature should not exceed 40°C. Please inform us when placing an order if the transferring medium temperature exceeds 40°C. The motor power should be increased in order to adapt to the high altitude area if the altitude exceeds 1000m.

Adopt CFD(computational fluid dynamics) to analyze and calculate the relationship between pump pressure distribution and valocity distribution. Optimize the pump flow channel design to ensure a highly efficient hydraulic line and highly improved efficiency.

The new upgrated fire electric pump units combine using and maintaining. Stainless steel impeller and pump spindle could prevent the entire rust situation with pump body, which integrates domant stablility commonly and starting reliability casually.

Techniques with positioning connection form makes sure that pump and motor has stable operating more safe and reliable with coaxiality concentricity.
4. Bearing
Both float shaft bearing for motor shaft below (YX3) 280 and fan end shaft bearing for motor shaft below YX3-180 adopt the sealed shaft bearing. Under normal condition, motor shaft bearing is free of maintenance.
5. Mechanical seal
Basic part of the machanical seal generally asopts the rubber corrugated pipe structure to replace the O-ring line seal with rubber dual face seal as the shaft seal, which improves the sealing effect when the medium is clean water.

>>> Installation Instructions
1. Check whether pump fasteners are loosen and whether the pump body runner is blocked by foreign matters before installation to avoid damage of impeller and pump body in running.
2. The independent supporting shall be installed when installing inlet and outlet tube of pump, so as to remove the pressure of the inlet and outlet tube from pump and keep the shape of pump. Meanwhile, a series self-regulation compensators such as flexible joint shall be installed so as to adjust error of installation and avoid pull caused by different thermal ratios of requirement and tube in different seasons. The butterfly valve and sluice valve are installed at lnlet and outlet parts of water pump for maintenance using. The outlet part shall install back-pressure valve so as to ensure that the net pressure would not backblash in the pump.
3. XBD-KYL, XBD-DL, XBD-GDL, XBD-LG, XBD-HY series vertical fire pump must be through gradienter. After the solidification of foundation cement, pump is installed on the foundation, the upright situation of pump and motor shaft should be detected. Iron pad adjust the non upright situation. Then cement through grout hole pours foundation and anchoring hole.
4. XBD-KYW, XBD-HYW series horizontal fire pump must be through gradienter, after the solidification of foundation cement, pump is installed on the foundation, and horizontal situation of pump and motor shaft should be detected by gradienter. Iron pad adjust the non horizontal situation. Then cement through grout hole foundation and anchoring hole.
5. For the sake of convenient service and safe use, mount one regulation valve on both inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump and one monometer near the outlet to guarantee it to run in the related head and flow quantity as well as to run normally and extend its life span.
6. Motor fan blade should be pulled down after installment and be moved by hand. The blade should not have be grinding or jamming phenomenon, or else, reasons should be found by pulling down the blade.
7. The installation of fire pump has two types: vertical and horizontal.
8. Since the fire pump adopts the regulation of conducting examinations for each pump, all overhauled water pump shall be carried on performcance test, especial when changing impeller shaft and other key parts that it should be tested in five technological parameters, namely closure exit point, rated condition, 70% flow, 125% flow, and 150% flow, as well as registered and recorded in relevant departments.
9. For suction-installation-type fire pump, the drainage scheme shall be systemically calculated while corresponding test shall be carried on the drainage system after water pump maintenance, so as to ensure the stability and compatibility of the drainage system.

Preparations before starting
Start and stop the motor quickly to make sure it is in the correct direction
Starting and Running
1. Close outlet pipe valve to decrease pump starting current.
2. Plug in electric power. Open outlet valve gradually after the pump reaches at normal speed, then adjust to the required conditions.
3. Pay attention to the meter reading. Deal with it in time if something abnormal happens.
4. Stop at once to check and restart until troubles are solved if any abnormal sound and troubles appear in running.
5. The pump normally should not run at less than 30% of design flow for a long time. If it must be used under such a condition, install a bypass line on the outlet to make pump flow within the running range.
Stop
1. Gradually close outlet pipe valve and cut off power.
2. Close inlet pipe valve.
3. Environmental temperature is lower than 0°C, heat preservation of pump should be considered. And starting or stopping pump on time makes sure water pump use normally.
>>> Pump Maintenance
1. Regularly check motor current value to endure that the motor runs within the rated current.
2. After longer service life, due to abrasion, the pump may result in loud noise, the increase of amplitude, leakage, and less efficency, at which point it should be stopped and checked. If necessary, replace spare parts such as bearing, mechanical, and impeller. Overhall life lasts one year.
3. The lubrication of mechanical seal should be clean and without any solids particles.
After installation, turn around the pump(motor) to avoid graphite crack when it starts suddenly.
Regulated lubricating oil should be added to pump and motor shaft to prevent leaking of bearing oil influencing the normal operation of device.
4. Avoid oil substances contact and use soap-suds or detergent to lubricate when the mechanical seal is under reparation and assembling.
